Engr. Prof. D. O. N. Obikwelu. (National Chairman)

Engr. Professor D. O. N. Obikwelu is the current and ninth National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Metallurgical, Mining and Materials Engineers (A Division of Nigerian Society of Engineeers). He was born on September 9, 1952 and attended primary education at St. Philip’s Central School, Ogidi, Anambra State, Nigeria. Secondary and Post Secondary at Bishop Lasbrey College Irette, Owerri, Imo State. Federal School of Science, Onikan Lagos, Nigeria. Government College Afikpo, Ebonyi State. University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria. Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. Michigan State University, E.Lansing. Stanford University, California.
Engr. Prof. D. O. N. Obikwelu had B.Sc (Hons) Second class Upper at University of Nigeria, Nsukka with Scholarship in 1975. M.S (with merit award as the best MS Met.Eng Graduate) in Metallurgical Engineering, Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, USA With Scholarship in 1979.
